Changing the pace means having a rest day. By having a rest day I mean do something different, not do nothing.
Lifting weights every day without rest time does not help, so have a rest day and do extra qigong and technique. stay flexible.
We all hit the plateau during training, it never goes away. Worst thing you can do is stop. Vary the forms, change your training times, do something else. Partner training is not possible at this time, so what are the options? Strength, flexibility, kata, bag work, hitting the tarmac, and meditation.
I train sanchin and tensho every day without fail (I'm a Goju Ryu student, it's kinda what we do). These two forms are non-negotiable, but everything else gets stirred in the mix depending on my training aims for the day. Sanchin and tensho get a look-in even on the 'off' days.
I don't plan personal training because I don't want to be a slave to the to-do list (I get enough of that at work). But do something, keep it varied and balanced, and it all comes together nicely.
The art of effortless effort.
